FRESH PRODUCE, PROCESSED AND BULK

SCOPE: Contract for the purchase Fresh Produce Prime Vendor to furnish, including but not limited to:  processed produce (fruits and vegetables), bulk produce, fresh herbs and edible flowers.

 

The University may purchase local produce directly from a farmer, through a distributor or through a cooperative if in the best interests of the University.

                                                           

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Campus has approximately 40,000 students and 18,000 faculty and staff.  The University has three separate departments (Division of University Housing: Dining and Culinary Services, Wisconsin Union Food ServiceandDivision of Intercollegiate Athletics-Food and Beverage Service) that provide food service for the Madison Campus.  These three departments operate independently and have unique requirements.  Although the University recognizes that standardization is important, each food service department will make independent decisions based on the needs of their customers.

Delivery: Contractor must deliver bulk and processed produce 6 days per week (Monday through Saturday). Contractor must deliver bulk and processed produce on July 4th and Labor Day, delivery may be required on other holidays.
Invoicing: Invoices shall reflect contract pricing.
Minimum Order: There shall be no minimum order; the University must be able to order any quantity or dollar amount as needed per delivery location.
