MINORITY BUSINESS ENTERPRISES (MBE)

The University is committed to the promotion of MBE's and to our goal of 5% of State Purchasing & Contracting targeted to certified MBE’s. Please assist us in helping you to increase the opportunity for minority vendors to sell to the state by using the resources below.

MBE Directory:
The Minority Business Enterprises directory is a listing of Wisconsin Certified Minority Owned Businesses. The directory is updated weekly by the Department of Administration Division of Agency Services. The following methods can be used to access MBE listings.
		Search by commodity description (i.e. data processing hardware, laboratory chemicals) Be sure to change the drop down menu option to "Commodity Description"
		Search by Industry
		"NEW" MBE's this month
		Search by commodity code (NIPG Code)
		Search by Vendor name (i.e. Uniglobe Keystone Travel)

MBE Travel Agencies
One area where we can make positive strides towards our spending goal is in our utilization of Minority Businesses to service our travel needs.
UW-Madison MBE Forms and Reporting:
		MBE Purchasing Card Travel-Purchases Form. This form is used by Purchasing Card holders to report dollars spent with MBE travel agencies.
		MBE Direct Payments Purchases Form. This form is used to report dollars spent with MBE's through Direct Payments and Open Vendor Purchases.
		MBE Subcontractor Plan of Action Form. A University of Wisconsin-Madison document used by bidders to submit their plan to subcontract with Minority Business Enterprises.
		MBE Participation Annual Report Form A University of Wisconsin-Madison document used by contract vendors to file annual reports of subcontracting dollar amounts spent with Minority Businesses.
