Hologic warrants to the original purchaser that the Products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase. During the stated one-year period, Hologic shall, at its option, replace with a new unit, reconditioned unit or, repair at no charge a unit that is found to be defective. |

SPECIFICATIONS

REQUIREMENTS |
1. |
The reagents supplied must be able to be used with the Cytyc ThinPrepÒ 2000 System that the WSLH currently uses. |
2. |
The reagents, without cytologic samples, must have a storage life of at least one year from date of manufacture at 15° to 30°. |
3. |
Reagents must be methanol-based. |
4. |
The preservation reagents must be bactericidal and anti-viral and cause greater than 99.999 % inactivation of the following bacteria and viruses: Candida albicans, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Rabitpox and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). |

The following disposables must be furnished: |
|
- Plastic cylinders, 5.5 cm in length and 20 mm in diameter, with an 8 micron pore polycarbonate filter attached to one end.
|
|
b. “Broom” or plastic scraper and endocervical brush “collection device” for GYN specimens. |
|
c. Glass microscope slides, positively charged for cellular adherence. |
|
- 50 ml capped vials containing preservation reagent.
The items are to come as a complete kit. For comparison, kit size is defined as containing the following:
- 500 vials of preservative;
- 500 collection devices;
- 500 filters;
- and 500 slides

The components must be FDA approved for use on the ThinPrep 2000 system. |
