SPECIFICATIONS

Mandatory requirements:

1.        Array hang may not exceed 1,000 pounds total.

2.        Must include one spare line array loudspeaker.

3.        Must include dollies, carts or other means to move the arrays and subs to and from their storage location.

4.        Wiring for the arrays shall be long enough to reach the stage deck to allow for system troubleshooting.  Wiring may be paid-out manually from the catwalk above during a drop, and pulled back up when arrays are stored.

5.        Electrical Requirements (Powered Array):

5.1   Powered Array:  Electrical infrastructure is in place to support a flown powered array.  Four (4) 20A clean power circuits are available for each array, but this could be changed to a single, higher voltage, multi-phase feed utilizing a stinger or similar at the top of the array.

5.2   A line level connection is provided to each array plug box for signal, as well as Cat6 connection for monitoring and control.

5.3   One (1) 20A clean power circuit is provided on each side of the stage deck for the powered subwoofers.

5.4   Processing is likely to be located in the new Audio Equipment Rack Room near the proscenium opening, one floor down from the stage deck.

6.        Electrical Requirements (Un-powered Array):

6.1   Eight (8) 14/2 wires are provided to the main array plug box for amplification, terminated to four (4) fully-loaded Neutrik NL4 connectors.

6.2   Only line-level wiring is provided to stage left/right plug box for portable subwoofers. The plug box has room to add speaker connections for unpowered subs if required.

6.3   Amplifiers will be housed in the new Audio Equipment Rack Room near the proscenium opening, one floor down from the stage deck.

7.        Front Fills:    The theatre's new wiring infrastructure includes speaker-level wiring for portable front fill loudspeakers to be placed at the stage lip. Include small format loudspeakers for this use as determined required, to provide even sound reinforcement to the first two rows of seating.

8.        Rigging:

8.1   Appropriate rigging bumpers or other hardware is required for attachment to the provided front-to-back rigging points. Side-to-side points are not available.

8.2   A 1,000 lb drum winch is provided for each array, providing a front and back (upstage/downstage) point.
