WEBSITE DESIGN, AND DEVELOPMENT OF AN INFORMATIONAL ANIMATION FOR DIGITAL ROLE-MODELING WEBSITE FOR UW-NACHP

(contract last updated 12/13/2013)

SCOPE: Contract for the purchase of  Website Design and Development of an Informational Animation for Digital Role-Modeling Website for UW-NACHP.

The University of Wisconsin Native American Center for Health Professions (UW-NACHP) is a new Center in the UW-School of Medicine and Public Health established in January 2013. The vision of UW-NACHP is to improve Native health and wellness by increasing the number of Native Americans graduating from health professional programs at UW-SMPH.

GiMinwaajimowininaanin: “Our Good Stories” is an idea to provide digital health professional role models for Native Americans. We are seeking a dynamic, contemporary, and inspiring digital media representation of UW-NACHP Native healthcare professionals. UW-NACHP has 13 Native American health professionals on faculty who each have a unique journey into medicine. The digital stories will be a primary entry point of students into the UW-NACHP health professional student pipeline. Our target audience is Native American elementary to college students – with an anticipated age range of approximately age 10-45. The project will be marketed locally, regionally, and nationally to areas of high Native American density in addition to use in educational presentations.

This contract is to help design and develop a website which will be the home of GiMinwaajimowininaanin – Our Good Stories. GiMinwaajimowininaanin is being used as a working project title as it reflects our philosophy and goals within the framework of the Ojibwe language. Cultural sensitivity, appropriateness, and awareness are of utmost importance
