Nicotine Patch and Gum Specifications |
| 1 |
The nicotine patch and nicotine gum must be packaged and supplied in accordance with FDA regulations (i.e. commercially available product) for a set of NIH-funded research studies |

The expiration date on the nicotine patch and gum must be at least 24 months from date of delivery |
| 3 |
A sample of both patch and gum must be supplied to conform to specifications. If the packaging is the same for all sizes and flavors, only 1 sample of each (patch and gum) need to be supplied. |

Contractor must be able to supply the nicotine patch in a mixture of 21 mg, 14 mg, and 7 mg sizes. |

Contractor must be able to supply nicotine gum in 4 mg and 2 mg strengths. |
| 6 |
Contractor must be able to supply nicotine in strong mint/white ice flavor and in fruit flavor. |

Gum Packaging Specifications |
| 7 |
In order to be used with a compliance monitoring device, gum must be packaged in 2 x 10 blister packs. |
| 8 |
The width of blister package must not exceed 3.1 cm. |
| 9 |
There must be a minimum of 5 mm tab below the gum on the blister pack. |
| 10 |
There must be a minimum of 8 mm distance between the rows of gum within the blister (this is the center gap between gum blisters). |
