| SCOPE:
Contract for the Department of Population Health Sciences for the purchase of DNA Repository Services for Survey of the Health of Wisconsin (SHOW).
An annual representative sample of Wisconsin households will be selected randomly, and non-institutionalized adult residents from 21-74 years of age will be invited to participate in the survey. All eligible household residents who agree to participate will provide baseline health status and lifestyle information, household and neighborhood environmental data, information on health care access and utilization, and biological samples. About 1,155 individuals will be recruited every year. The SHOW DNA biorepository will be established as a shared resource for Wisconsin investigators interested in population health-related research on the health of the state residents. |
