How To Return Purchases to MDS and Prime Vendors

Merchandise may be returned to MDS and its Prime Vendors without restocking
charges, provided the following conditions are met:
- Returned merchandise must be in the original packaging and in saleable
condition accompanies by a copy of the original packing slip.
- Merchandise returned by Madison area customers must be received
by MDS within 30 days of the original shipping date.
- Merchandise returned by customers outside of the Madison area (common
carrier or UPS delivery) must be received by MDS within 45 days of
the original shipping date. For MDS merchandise only.
- Does not include special orders.
To initiate MDS Merchandise returns:
Contact MDS Customer Service,
include your name, phone number, the reason for the return, and where
you are located. For Madison area customers only, place a copy of the
packing slip with your return (make sure to keep a copy for yourself).
On the box please write "return to MDS", and place it at your
dock for pick-up. Outside the Madison area send merchandise via common
carrier or UPS.
Office Depot returns:
Login to the MDS ordering system and choose "Shop at our office supplies prime vendor, Office Depot." The system allows on-line returns. To start the process click on the 'Order Tracking' button on the left side of the screen. Inside of 'Order Tracking' you will see a date range search option. Enter the dates that the order you want to return falls between and click 'Search'. Then click on the blue order number that appears in the 'Order History' field (toward the bottom). This will open the order to allow you to pick which items need to be returned. Click on the 'Submit Return' tab and select the items you wish to return. Enter the quantity and click on the drop down box to select a reason and click continue. Once you are finished you will receive a Return Number that you can keep for your files. The return should be picked up within a few days.
Fisher Scientific returns:
Contact Fisher at 800-766-7000. For Madison area customers only, place
a copy of the packing slip with your return (make sure to keep a copy
for yourself). On the box please write "return to MDS", and
place it at your dock for pick-up. Outside the Madison area, Fisher
will make other arrangements.
Grainger returns:
Contact Grainger at 221-3862. For Madison area customers only, place
a copy of the packing slip with your return (make sure to keep a copy
for yourself). On the box please write "return to MDS", and
place it at your dock for pick-up. Outside the Madison area Grainger
will make other arrangements.
Returned merchandise will be credited to the customer account within
15 days of receipt. Credit cannot be issued without a current account
number.
