UW Savings Bond Program
The Savings Bond Program for the University of Wisconsin is administered by:

- Complete the Savings Bond Enrollment Authorization Form
- Mail the Enrollment Authorization Form to National Bond and Trust Company
- Allow 15 days for processing
National Bond and Trust has a toll free telephone number (1-800-426-9314) for processing requests for:
- Name Change
- Deduction Amount Change
- Denomination Change
- Beneficiary Change
- Termination Request
As the third party vendor for the University Savings Bond Program, National Bond and Trust Company is dedicated to providing you with excellent service. The duties and responsibilities of the Company:
Enrollment
- Accept enrollment applications
- Establish accounts for employees
- Advise the University of payroll deduction amount
Account Handling
- Receive information from the University on the 28th of each month indicating the dollar amount deducted for each employee
- Credit deduction amount to employees account
- Purchase Bonds during the established Bond Purchase Months
- Notify the University of any payroll deduction amount changes
Purchases
- Determine whether a Bond can be purchased for the employee based on the balance in the account as of the last day of the Bond Purchase Month (generally the 27th of the month)
- Mail Bonds to the beneficiary or owner at the address provided by the employee on approximately the 3rd of the month following the last day of the Bond Purchase Month
- Purchase Bonds in sequence as specified by the employee
Account Termination
- Accept termination notices from employees
- Issue refund checks, if applicable, by the first of the month following notification of termination
- Mail refund checks to address provided by the employee in the termination notice
- Determine if the account should be terminated
