Electronic Earnings Statement

Purpose:

This web page is intended to provide Divisional and Departmental Payroll Coordinators with a comprehensive source for information on Electronic Earnings Statements, so that they can answer both their own questions, but also questions they may get from the faculty and staff with whom they work.

Paper copies of the earnings statements will no longer be printed and distributed for most employees, starting with:

Background:

Traditionally UW-Madison faculty and staff have received printed copies of their earnings statements. With the implementation of the My UW-Madison (MUM) web portal, the same information became available in an electronic format. The electronic format provides improved flexibility and convenience for the individual employee, in that the earnings statements can be viewed and/or printed from any computer with an internet connection, and at any time.

In the spring of 2006 UW-Madison will be making a major effort to eliminate centrally printed and distributed earnings statements for faculty and staff. Instead, we will be emphasizing the use of electronic copies of the statement, delivered through the ‘My UW-Madison’ web portal.

Informational Materials:

In order to help you get the word out to departments and employees, we’ve prepared an informational poster. These documents have been designed so that you can print them off and display them on employee announcement bulletin boards, next to time clocks, or anywhere else where employees might see them.
