IMPORTANT PERKINS LOAN BENEFITS UPDATE

Recent Federal Perkins regulatory changes have increased cancellation benefits and makes changes to the Loan Rehabilitation and Deferment process.

These changed are part of the College Cost Reduction and Access Act (Pub. L. 110-84), signed into law on September 27, 2007, and the Higher Education Opportunity Act (Pub. L. 108-315), signed into law on August 14, 2008, changed the terms of loans made under the Federal Perkins Loan Program authorized by Part E of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended.

The Perkins Loan ADDENDUM can also be found on the My Account screen at www.ecsi.net.

After your promissory has been signed and the loan disbursed, you can view your note by logging into www.ecsi.net. You can also view the Perkins Loan Addendum on the ECSI My Account screen.

The University of Wisconsin contracts with Educational Computer Systems, Inc. (ECSI) for the billing and electronic processing of payments on your campus based loan.
