ECSI Special Notice
Attention UW-Madison, UW-Green Bay and UW-College Borrowers:
- In 2007, UW-Madison sucessfully converted the process of billing for loans to an
electronic bill (E-Bill).
- In 2008, UW-Madison will continue to convert accounts with a quarterly billing schedule to a
monthly billing schedule.
UW-Madison, Student Loans Office, will continue to convert the quarterly payment schedule to a monthly fixed payment schedule. When it is time for your loan(s) to be modified, you will receive an e-mail or letter directly from the Student Loans Section of the Bursar's Office, explaining the changes.
As will be explained in our email or letter, if you are currently on a QUARTERLY REPAYMENT SCHEDULE:
- When you receive your final quarterly bill, the amount that's stated on the paper bill is due on the 1st day of the next month.
- Each month thereafter, on the 13th, an E-bill will be generated and will be viewable on the ECSI website.
- Your payment is due the 1st of the following month.
- Your monthly payment will be approximately one-third of the quarterly bill amount.
- If your account is set up for recurring direct payment (ACH), our email notification will request that you change your ACH setup to reflect the lower monthly amount. If you fail to make this ACH modification, the quarterly amount will be drawn each month.
