This timeline represents the major milestones to be encountered during the UW System-wide project for complying with the IRS requirements regarding the Taxpayer's Relief Act.
- Campuses update return address info for 1098E & T forms: 11/28/2007 to 12/14/2007
- Campuses update authorizations for web access if necessary: 11/28/2007 to 12/14/2007
- Campuses update technical contact responsible for producing the file(s) and sending (via ftp) files to UAS: 11/28/2007 to 12/14/2007
- Campuses send test files for 1098E & T files: 11/28/2007 to 12/30/2007
- Deadline for campuses to send production 1098E and 1098T files: 1/11/2008
- Students able to print own forms from UAS: To be announced
- UAS mails out 1098E & T forms beginning: 1/25/2008
- UAS sends 1098E & T files to IRS: 3/28/2008
- Editing of 1098E & T corrections available via web 1/14/2008 to 7/29/2008
- UAS sends corrections to IRS 7/30/2008
