It is designed to be used in conjunction with the following chart, as each immigration category carries certain restrictions regarding the types of payments that can be made, forms that are required, etc.

* Individuals who are already Legal Permanent Residents (immigrants, green card holders) may receive any kind of payment in the same manner as U.S. citizens.

In order to make non-salary payments to individuals (i.e., travel reimbursement honorarium, etc.), Accounting Services must have a copy of all immigration documents (I-94 and IAP-66, I-797 or I-20 whichever is applicable.
