The information in this chart is provided for the guidance of UW-Madison employees who are involved in completing I-9s. It explains what documents to expect to see from individuals who are in the most frequently used non-immigrant categories at UW-Madison. It does not replace the Handbook for Employers produced by INS. Those doing I-9 verification should be familiar with the documents required as well as the anti-discrimination provisions detailed in the Handbook.
